Offsite: Outdoor Arts Development Network for The MidlandsWe're very pleased to share the news that in 2018 OffSite is back with further development opportunities for those who work and perform in the Outdoor Arts Sector.
Year 2 - Workshop Programme
Following a hugely successful debut year, OffSite returns and aims to build on this success and further development the outdoor arts scene in the Midlands.
This year’s workshop programme has been established based on feedback from the sector to offer relevant opportunities for artists/producers/festivals/venues based in the Midlands, who are interested in, working in or developing work for an outdoor context.
The three workshop sessions will be led by industry experts and will provide invaluable insights and CPD opportunities for a broad range of professionals at varying career levels.
The programme includes:
· Distribution/Touring/Relationship building
Hints and tips when looking to tour in the UK, run by Creative Producer Phil Hargreaves
· Dramaturgy – Outdoor focus
Focusing on dramaturgy when creating work in an outdoor context, run by Jeni Barnard of AcroJou
· Pitching Your Work
How to pitch your work in 3-5 minutes, run by leading outdoor practitioner Jeanefer Jean-Charles.
Workshops will be held across the Midlands in Birmingham, Derby and Stoke-on-Trent on the last Friday of every month in January, February and March 2018. All the workshops are free and sign up is on a first come first serve basis.
